How to Choose a Slitting Rewinding Machine?
This article is aim to help you understand more about our slitting machine.
First, need to confirm the parameters of your material, Material thickness: if the thickness is average and thin, less than 300micron, and the mini slitting width is >5mm, the common standard slitting machine (such as HH650E, HH1300E, HH1600E) can meet your needs.
Second, need to check your material with adhesive: like double-sided tape, foam tape, masking tape, etc. OR without adhesive: like paper, plastic film, label stock, non-woven, etc.
Below is a summary description of our slitting rewinding machine,
Unwind Unit Unwind base: for jumbo roll diameter within 800mm recommend connect type; If jumbo roll diameter is over 800mm, a separate unwind base will be recommended.
Unwind shaft
1) With shaft: regular type, cost-effective.
2). Shaft-less unwinder: operation is easy, two chucks fix jumbo roll, but the cost is higher.
Auto splice table: This table can help you save time and material when one roll finished slitting and need to add another one roll.

Knowledge of Slitting Blades:

1). Razor blade: for thin films, such as BOPP, etc. Advantage: lower cost and easy to set up. Need to be frequently changed to ensure good slitting effect.

2). Shear blades: widely used, high accuracy. This method can provide not only excellent cutting but also accurate slitting widths and close tolerances, they stay sharp longer than razor blades.

3). Air score blade: mainly for adhesive tapes, non-woven, etc. more difficult to set up.

Edge Trimming Methods
1). Servo motor trim spool winder: for adhesive tapes

2). Centrifugal fan trimming: non-adhesive paper, thin film, etc.

Rewind Unit

Rewind O.D. Specifications:

450mm, 650mm, 800mm and 1200mm (different materials with different outer diameter, the web path will be different) 

Rewind Shaft:

1). Air shaft: suitable for materials with very even thickness.
2). Differential shaft: separately control tension, when material thickness is not average, then must use the slip shafts.

Web Guide Control System

1). Unwind EPC: only unwind base move.
2). Process EPC: unwind base not move, only the middle part is moving, used more for coating machines
